Mosaic has developed a suite of applications using Scientia's Syllabus Plus COM interface, and its expert developers are able to build custom applications that support the administration of the timetabling process for Syllabus Plus users.
The Activity Priority Groups Generator has been created to automate the process of creating Activity priority groups for the purpose of automatic scheduling in a quick and transparent manner. It can quickly create a set of Activity Priority Groups that can either be used directly for automatic scheduling, or can help to start a review process for making priority decisions.
The RUIS Data Translation Interface is an easy-to-use applet that extracts room usage data from a Syllabus Plus image, for subsequent analysis in Mosaic's RUIS room utilisation software.
The Activity Name Updater is a small applet that uses the Syllabus Plus COM interface to renumber multiple tutorials, labs, lectures, etc., so that they are numbered sequentially according to their position in the week.

This application ensures that each Activity in Syllabus Plus is not scheduled at the same time as another Activity from the same Course Module that students must attend, by creating "Module Sets". These Student Sets also help to ensure that the Scheduling Preferences related to students (whether Activities are spread across the week, or clumped together as much as possible) are applied correctly.
